Need for Touch Scale (NFT)
Two results: how much you like to touch, and need to touch, products.
Sobre este test
Need for touch is how much you rely on your sense of touch when you shop. It has two sides. Autotelic need for touch is touching for the fun and pleasure of it. Instrumental need for touch is touching to judge a product — its quality, weight or texture — before you buy. You get a separate score for each. There is no right or wrong; it simply describes how you like to shop.
About this questionnaire
The NFT is a freely available screening questionnaire. We present it exactly as published and add a plain-language explanation of your result.
It is for education and self-reflection, not a diagnosis — a score is a snapshot, not a label. If your result worries you, talk to a qualified professional. See how we choose and check our tests and our editorial standards.

Preguntas frecuentes
Why two results?
Touching for pleasure (autotelic) and touching to check a product before buying (instrumental) are separate. You can be high on one and low on the other.
What is a high score good for?
It is not good or bad. It just means touch matters to how you shop — useful to know for online shopping, where you can't touch anything.
