Personality
Self-Consciousness (Big Five Facet)
How sensitive you are to what others think, and to social discomfort.
About this test
This facet reflects how easily you feel self-conscious, embarrassed or uneasy around other people. It is one of the 30 facets of the Big Five model and describes a personality tendency (from the Neuroticism domain) — how you generally are — not a clinical diagnosis. Each score simply shows where you tend to sit; there is no good or bad result.
What your score means

Frequently asked questions
How is this scored?
Your four answers (each 1 to 5) are added up, with reverse-worded items flipped, for a total from 4 to 20. A higher score means more of the trait. There is no good or bad score — it shows where you tend to sit.
Is this a diagnosis?
No. It measures a normal personality tendency from the Big Five model, not a mental-health condition.
Can I use it for free?
Yes. The items come from the public-domain International Personality Item Pool, which is free to use for any purpose with the source credited.
